I looked at quite a few websites and varieties of vanity/jewelry armoires before I settled on this one. I figured it had the right combination of class and features for the price. My wife had been hinting around about needing a place to put all her jewelry but I thought she could also use a vanity to help her get dolled up. Bottom line--she loves it! I used some track lights to help illuminate her beauty station, definitely something to consider when setting it up. Assembly wasn't very difficult, just a little time consuming (about 3 hours with distractions). Our only complaint was that there was a hairline crack(s) on one of the corners of the desk. She noticed it but loved the gift so much that she didn't want to bear waiting for a possible exchange. There also appeared to be another broken piece but I managed to hide it once I assembled it. I can't say whether these imperfections were due to product construction or shipping but they're the only things that prevented a five star rating.
