The table was great for the price. My only issue was some minor dents in the table's surface most likely done during shipping. I would recommend that the box used for shipping be updated to protect the table's surface from shipping damage. It would be hard to find a better coffee table at this price point and would recommend it.Needed a table for our smallish living room, was not about to spend 300 bucks or more. But I wanted something sturdy, and something that didn't have that cheap Ikea look to it. This one hit the bullseye. In this price range, I found nothing close in either looks or quality.Had it together in about 1/2 hour very easy. Constructed of 100% solid wood, it looks fantastic. It's as sturdy as they come once assembled, and has some real weight to it. Kids could sit on this for years without doing any damage.
Our Futon and room are trimmed in light oak and natural finish. I ordered the natural finish, and it blends perfectly. Even my wife (who's very fussy about furniture) was blown away. If that ain't an endorsement, I don't know what is.
Trust me, it looks much better than the pictures indicate. It's a simple design, yes but chocked full of little details that really stand out. Once you see it, you'd never call it "plain". The finish is very good for the most part, only a few minor flaws noted. Most were not visible when assembled, though. The little knots and variations in grain and color just add to the character. Real wood is a thing of beauty. The height is perfect for our Futon, yet low enough enough to be unobtrusive. Really looks like it belongs there.
Five star all the way. Not a single thing to complain about. If you need a table in this size, do yourself a favor and check it out.
