I bought this bed about seven months ago.

I did not have any problem understanding the instructions or putting the thing together. It was relatively easy, actually, considering its size. To its credit, I have never wondered whether the bed was going to drop me. It does not squeak of wiggle at all; it seems very stable.

Why the low review? Here is my litany of complaints:

When I put the bed together, they had sent the wrong parts. I did not complain to the company, I just made it work. There are twelve drawers. I received 13 left drawer sides, and 11 right sides. In retrospect, I should have complained, but I thought that the hassle was not worth it. I just drilled the holes to make that piece work. (If that drawer was the only problem, it would have gotten a high review. As other reviewers have said, make sure you have the right parts as soon as you open the box, since apparently this is a common problem with this bed.

I bought the bed because I needed more storage, and this bed has a lot. But in the seven months I have owned this bed, I have had three drawers break. I do not overstuff my drawers! I was able to fix one of them (it just slipped apart, so a little wood glue did the trick) but the others are broken beyond repair without replacement parts.

Even before they started breaking, the drawers do not align properly, so the bed looks a little funny. You might want to blame my craftsmanship. But if you do keep in mind, the frame is stable, straight and was easy to assemble. The pre-drilled holes, which you use to attach the slides for the drawers, are not straight.

Also, because the drawers are not aligned, they bump into each other. On one side of the bed, I cannot open the bottom drawer without opening the top as well.

So, yes, my problems are all with the drawersbut if you are looking at this bed you are looking for storage! The platform is stable, but the storage is useless! Do not buy this bed! You will regret it! Spend more on something that will actually do the job. The price is low for a bed of this kind, but it is money down the drain. Less than a year in, I am looking to replace mine.

Just a note, this bed is really tall. I would not give it a low review for that, because it is not actually a flaw. But note, if you are looking for a bed to help solve a storage problem in a smallish space, this bed will dominate that space. You cannot sit on the edge of the bed, you have to climb in. You might even need a step to get in. I figured it was tall (twelve drawers take up space!) but I was still surprised.

Great looking bed! Took a little longer to assemble than estimated, but no major difficulties. You must open ALL of the boxes right away to get the parts you need for the early steps. As you work on it, you'll find that some minor modifications to the directions will make things more efficient. The finished product looks great and provides so much storage.

We bought this bed due to lack of space. It looks nice and all the drawers have really helped us out. No boxspring needed. It is really comfortable. Only bad thing is, that it's not hardwood and I can see the finish chipping off in a couple of years. But, for the price....it's great!

It's a humongous pain to put together, I had to have a couple people help me do it since it takes really long and even when it is finished the only problem i have is the drawers can barely hold my shirts (they bend in). garbage.

I bought this bed just like everyone else,for storage. Upon receiving it and taking everything out of it's packaging I thought everything was going to go smoothly. Once I started with building I soon realized this was not the case. The parts are fairly obvious,but are not labeled and therefore sometimes leads to much more hassle then necessary. Also if you decide to buy the bed, be careful when moving it as the wood is not as sturdy as it should be and will bend and crack as well as splinter to the point of no repair. I've owned it for only a week now and have had nothing but frustration.

Also when following the instructions,ensure that you're comparing your work to the picture often as you'll find out they aren't always as specific as they should be and therefore you could run into problems such as draw rails being screwed on the wrong direction.

As said by other reviews the drawers aren't all that great either.They don't line up properly and break easily.

All in all I don't recommend ANY ONE buy this PIECE! You'll regret it soon after.I promise.
