I was very disappointed with this Eiffel tower. It was carefully packaged and I appreciate that, but I was surprised to see the black paint was flaked off and the silver wire underneath was showing. Upon returning to the product page, you can see that if you zoom in so I can't really complain that it's not as described. However, the paint continues to fall off every time it's touched and that's not really something I'd like to give as a gift. I found a much better quality one (solid black wire, no chipping paint) for twice the price (it's also twice the size) which I'll be giving as a gift instead of this. It's not worth the money or trouble in returning it. It's just going down the garbage shute.
I had a Parisian-themed bridal shower for my son's fiance last Saturday and used this as a table-top decoration. It was the perfect height and added the finishing touch of ambiance to the table setting. I love the vintage "wear and tear" look of it and am happy to add it to my collection of cool centerpieces. My only complaint is that the top doesn't attach the top very securely, but in my case it really doesn't make a difference. I use it for my earrings and I absolutely love it...keeps them organized and it's pretty adorable. Good buy :).

I got this for my daughter's wedding shower (she was proposed to in Paris). She's very artsy and eclectic and likes old and antique things. She loves this Eiffel tower because it has that feel to it, she loves its roughness and imperfections. It has character and warmth. I love how the top hinges off to inset a candle in it. If you are intelligent it's pretty easy to figure out how to attach the top so it hinges but still stays securely attached when snapped down. We are very pleased with our purchase!!
