The A/V cabinet has excellent construction, good fit and finish and works as advertized. A nice piece of furniture. I am very pleased with it from that perspective. My only concern is that the finish is different from that shown in the Amazon pictures as well as those on the Salamder site (as viewed on four different computer monitors I checked to see if it was a display problem, but it was not). Rather than a golden hued brown color, the unit is just basic brown. It is still a very nice unit and I will be keeping it, but it is not what I expected.

I was reluctant to purchase this product because of its high price. Well..... I bit the bullet and ordered the unit from Amazon. It was shipped to my home via motor freight, and by appointment, within a 4 hour time frame. The truck arrived within the committed time frame, and two men placed the unit in my garage. The box was in very good condition and my Son & I unpacked the unit and moved it inside my home. As we assembled the cabinet we soon found out how well engineered this product was designed. Everything lines up and fits perfect. The fit and finish quality is flawless. The instructions and parts are very clear and easy to assemble. I also purchased the salamander surge protector, the infrared remote repeater, and two slide out media drawers. Everything installed and performed to perfection! What a great design! This unit exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it, and purchase it again...... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I AM A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Amazon attempted to deliver the cabinet via UPS. The cabinet is far to heavy for one person to manipulate. The crate had obviously been bounced around alot. There was visible damage to the cabinet at a torn area of the crate. I refused delivery. I ordered same cabinet from a local home theatre company. After paying sales tax and $75 delivery fee it cost slightly less than Amazon's price. I am very happy with the cabinet.
