This bunk bed is for kids only, since the top bunk has a weight limit of only 165 lbs. This is a very sturdy and well-designed bunk bed, using good quality wood lumber, and durable, heavy duty hardware holding that lumber tightly together. The bed has a modern appearance, and is designed for safety, with even the ladder and safety rails securely attached. This is a fairly easy to assemble product, with pretty clear written instructions, and well-labeled parts and hardware (but 2 people are needed on occasion for lifting and holding parts together). It is shipped in 3 cartons, which are very well protected and packed for efficiency and to prevent damage to the contents. It meets all known safety standards and more than met all of my expectations and needs.
1) The bed arrived without instructions! Good thing it was designed to be easy to assemble! Very annoying to take extra time to figure it out on my own.
2) It arrived damaged in some areas due to apparent brute force handling during shipping. The damage was minor and certainly cosmetic. Nothing was cracked.
3) As we were putting it together, we noticed other cosmetic blemishes such as small knicks, chips, and areas where the paint had been knocked off. Most were in inconspicuous areas that we will probably never notice once the bed is put together.

We bought thiis bed and when moving the bed was disassembled. We noticed both that headboards and footboards were cracked. We made every effort to contact Linon and they told us no parts were available and they would not tell us where to buy a replacement headboard and footboard. We were willing to keep the bed and buy parts to fix it ourselves. We are concerned for our children's safety as they are 5 and 7 years old.
