The closing method is a little counter-intuitive and hard to get used to, (and watch that you don't pinch your fingers), but all-in-all this was exactly what I was looking for: a fold-able, lightweight stool that is low but not too low, reasonably comfortable, and I can use it to move from place to place and be able to interact with children at or near their level without sitting on the floor. I have been using it since it arrived a few weeks ago. I like it very much and would have given it 4 1/2 stars had that option been available.than I expected. I use this in front of a full length mirror to apply my make up. I'm 5'6, 145 pounds and I always fell like I'm going to fall off. It makes a loud "click" noise whenever I use it. I believe that's because I fold it and put it away after using it and so when I take it out, reopen and sit on it, after a few minutes (or so), it "clicks". It hasn't broken, but it is kinda unnerving to hear that "click", because I always feel like I'm going to end up on the floor. I guess it's gonna have to work for now. I don't want to order another one, but I'm honestly thinking a "kindergarten" chair would feel more secure.
