I am 5'1" tall. Sitting down on the stool, I could see only the bottom third of my face. But after my handy husband adjusted the hinge on the side, I am able to see my entire head. (By the way, my husband forced me to write this review so that everyone with, or considering, this item will know that you just need to move the two screws on the bottom hinge in order to see your whole face.) There are two hole marks visible now, but it doesn't bother me, especially since the top closes shut. The seat is much better looking in person. And it can be easily re-covered if you don't like the beige microfiber cloth it comes with.

I bought this as a gift and she absolutely loved it! Clean lines, functionality and rich cappuccino finish made this an excellent gift. It arrived when stated with no visible signs of damage. It was easy to put together, about 45 mins total. It's not top notch quality but after having it for a year, all the maintenance that was needed was a little furniture polish every now and then. She uses it every day! I highly recommend.

Very easy to put together just had to put on the legs. Light enough for one person to carry. Dimensions are 16Wx40Lx29.5H unlike advertised. Mostly made of solid wood but some particle board. Legs are solid wood. Drawers are not on tracks so they don't slide in and out very smoothly. Bench is comfortable. As other reviewers have said, I can't see my whole face when I look in the mirror. I plan to try adjusting the hinge as T. Clancy suggested.

This vanity is very cute. It goes well with my other bedroom furniture. I absolutely love the compartment under the mirror. It'll be helpful if you can find a jewelry organizer or a tray that you can place in it. Just like how the other reviews say, the mirror is a little short. I'm about 5'5" and I have to slouch or lean over to see my whole face... which I end up doing anyways when I'm applying make up. However, you can easily fix this problem by unscrewing the bottom two screws of the hinge and adjusting them to change the angle of the mirror. I did just that and now i can see my face perfectly even when I sit up straight. It was very easy to do (it took me 5 minutes without any help from my husband) Thanks to all the previous reviews.

However my stool came totally damaged (the main wood piece under the seat was completely cracked in two!). I called the seller and they picked up surprisingly even though it was around 7:30 pm Pacific Time. They made me send a photo of the broken stool and they promised to replace it asap. I still haven't received the stool yet but I'm sure it'll be fine. It's not the first time my online furniture purchase came damaged. So I guess I'm used to it.. but still lame.

Overall I'm still happy with this purchase. It's very inexpensive without looking cheap. And there's a lot of storage space.

Update: it took them two tries and 3 whole weeks to send the stool to me. Was not thrilled, but it was fine once it got here. It was undamaged and very sturdy.

I really like the idea of this vanity because it is slim and doesn't take up a lot of room. It was so simple to put together too. When I sat on the bench and opened the mirror, I could only see half of my head (and I am not that tall). Big disappointment! I also noticed that it streaks very easily when you touch it.

I love the price and would love it if the mirror were taller.
