My son started sleeping in this bed a few weeks after he turned 2 (about a month ago). He loves this bed. I like that the bed has high sides so that he doesn't fall out, and it looks great in his room. It's durable and high quality. We bought it unfinished so that we could stain it to match other furniture, and it looks great! I would highly recommend this bed. I did have to buy a thinner mattress (5 inches) because my son's 6.5" mattress made it a bit too high and I was afraid he might roll off the top. You can't beat this bed for the price!
This bed came to us and it was very simple to put together. Eight screws and sliding the side boards in. It is very sturdy and I don't think the picture does it any justice. In person this bed is beautiful, as simple as it is. The sides come up all around and my daughter has yet to fall out. We have a convertible crib without any siderails at all, which my daughter fell out several times within the first two weeks, which is the reason why I chose to look at other beds. The price has gone up since we bought it, but the fact that shipping is still free, makes the price as expensive as other places. Wal-Mart sells these beds, as well, shipping seemed it would have taken fooooorrrrevvver. Haha!! Love this toddler bed. I grew up in a house full of unfinished solid wood, and with good care, it will last forever. Let's not forget, you can always stain it exactly how you want it, later on. Which makes it well worth every penny spent on this bed!!

I wanted a toddler bed that did not have railings just by the head area, which 99% of them seem to be. I also love that it is made in america. I bought this sanded/unfinished to save some bucks and polyed it myself. It is very well made, very easy to put together and very safe. My daughter has been sleeping in this for months now and has never fallen out. The little dips in the sides are just the perfect size for her getting in and out of bed. I am very happy with my purchase. Just as a warning, bedding does not hang prettily off the bed due to the sides being the way they are. I do not mind this at all as her not falling out of bed was more important to me.
