I bought this bed so I could have the added benefit of the extra draw space-it is made well and looks great! It's like buying a bed,a bureau and a night stand all at once with it taking up the space of a bed! Yah no vacuuming under the bed anymore. The directions to put it together were good only error I saw was a picture had the predrilled hole in the wrong place but easy step by step directions. It took me a while to put it all together since I bought the headboard too so give yourself plenty of time and best to have a screwgun handy. If I had to make a recommendation, I'd say that the headboard should come with a couple of "bumpers" to allow a space between the headboard and the bed because if you push the bed up tight to the headboard the first drawer hits the trim when opened so an inch or so between the two is needed, with hardwood floors the bed can slide into the headboard without something to hold the space-I added my own.
