Dark Brown Leatherette Bench

This is NOT a leather bench. I was impressed with the first review (the only review before this one), and thought buying a "leather" bench at just a bit over 100 bucks ( plus shipping) was really a good deal. Surprise came when I opened the box and realized it's in fact made from POLYESTER rather than from leather. Yes, it's a leatherette bench felt tricked but only myself to blame, as it said leatherette all along. Also, the color is so "dark" that it looks like just BLACK. In fact, all the woodwork (legs, etc) is sheer black, and you won't notice the brownish tint in the bench until you pay close attention so I was indeed tricked by the image of this bench it's looked so brownish, but in reality it appears just black. If you don't want a black piece to mess up with all other lovely settings in your home, don't buy it. However, if you want a black one, and it's well under $50 (including shipping), go for it the polyurethane foam under the leatherette "skin" felt so cozy, just like those memory foam pillows do to you.

I bought this bench for our dining room table, and although it's a bit wide(meant for the end of the bed), it fits just perfect. It is so comfortable for guests to sit on with the nice thick padding. It took me 10 minutes to put on the legs. Great quality, solid, and VERY COMFORTABLE. It was a phenomenal price for the quality. I've been shopping for a bench like this and they're usually between $200-400. I got lucky with this one. QUICK UPDATE: This bench is comfy, but after awhile of use, its too cushy for a dining room table. You sink down a bit, lowering yourself from the table. But..it looks good, and does the job. But, next time, I'll buy a bench specifically for a dining table..

So, we received the bench timely, and it did not take much assembly (initially we put the legs on backwards on accident which makes a big difference in the look! lol). As other reviewers have mentioned it is very dark, I would say black rather than dark brown. We decided to go with this bench because of the padding since my husband wanted something comfortable for guests to sit on. It does seem to have a lot of padding, but it does not seem overly comfortable, not much give when you sit down. Decent bench for the price, just wish it had a slightly more brown color to it.
