I would definitely recommend this canopy bed frame not only because its stylish but mainly because the bottom is very sturdy. I have also been able to store many items underneath the bed because its so high up.This is a beautiful bed and very sturdy! It was pretty easy to put together and was a good price for the quality.Buy Clifton Scroll Iron Bed Now
I love this bed. It was really affordable and it looks great. It has a nice white glossy finish that really stands out in a room. It's made of tubular steel, not iron like the title suggests. It's quite sturdy. The other reviewer mentioned the pegs popping out which hasn't been an issue with me because I have a super thick memory foam mattress that weighs it down. If you have a normal mattress then this may be an issue for you. Overall great buy!Read Best Reviews of Clifton Scroll Iron Bed Here
The bed was very slow in arriving. The shipping company claimed they couldn't find our address, but we live in a suburban neighborhood that you can easily find on Google Maps, not the dark side of the Moon. The shipper also left black stains all over the carpet of the house we just bought, which (lucky for them) came out with shampooing. As to assembly of the bed itself, it took a while to assemble and the instructions are VERY hard to read. (images too small to show detail) That having been said simple logic let us get it together and puzzle out assembly without much need for the instructions.
Once assembled we noticed that the base framing that the mattress sits on does not actually attach to the frame; it just lays on top of it with guide pins fitting into alignment holes to keep the base from wandering. Because our bedroom has thick carpeting, the central support legs attached to the base frame will actually push the base back up and out of the alignment holes unless a few hundred pounds are pushing it back down. The weight of our mattress and boxspring isn't even enough to keep the base from lifting out of the holes and when you go to get in bed it very often will SNAP! loudly into the holes. It gets very annoying as it can even lift out of the holes when you roll over in bed, then PRANG! back in place when you roll back in the middle of the night.
Having said all that, the frame is VERY sturdy and will easily support 750 lbs. or more without strain. No signs of bending or tearing at the attachment points after 4 months of nightly use. (though there is some speckling in the paint from where the metal wasn't fully dried before painting, but you have to look very close to notice) The price was VERY low considering the quality of design and materials. Excellent value.
So in the final analysis:
Shipping: 1 of 5 stars
Value: 4 of 5 stars
Quality: 4 of 5 stars
Design: 3 of 5 stars
Overall: 3 of 5 stars
There are better-designed bed frames out there, but you pay MUCH more for only very few improvements. All in all I would recommend it if you want a sturdy bed that will look nice and not break the bank.
