This is a gorgeous nightstand. It is solid wood and a has more of a dark reddish tint than can be seen in the picture. This was fine for me as it fit my bedroom set perfectly and has a handcrafted look/feel to it. I love all the products from C.G. Sparks but a lot of them are just too expensive. I think their nighstands/end tables are the best deals they offer considering the fact that you can easily pay 100-150 on a prefab, made in China particle board nightstand you just can't go wrong with this piece which is sturdy, with a beautiful stain that is actually made out of real rosewood. This piece ranges in price from $175-205 depending on where you look; I bought it through Wayfair (via Amazon) because it is the least expensive option that I came across but be sure to shop around on this one. If it fits your budget and you like the "worldstock" look, go for it, you won't regret it.
this was mentioned in the other review but i ordered this based on the colour and the height (its unusually tall)... unfortunately when the table arrived the wood is quite a lot darker, almost like a dark cherry i uploaded a photo so you can see the difference. im not *overly* OCD so i can live with the slightly mismatched furniture, and that aside, its very nice and solid well built. actually arrived fully constructed in a huge package, i was expecting to have to assemble it myself. i give it 4 stars just because of the difference in colour.
