My metal bed came in about a week after ordering. Very easy to put together. I did it by myself in 10 mins. no tools required. It gives you nice storage space under the bed.
Cons:
-I am finding that the mattress slips/slides downwards on the frame -there is no grip and the mattress and the bed skirt slide. Although the mattress is not slipping side to side -which I dont understand because there is no lip on the sides. I will have to buy some rubberized carpet underpad to put under the mattress to keep it in place.
-The company did not include the brackets for the headboard/footboard with my bed frame. I called their customer service and they were nice enough although not very apologetic. They are sending the brackets and I have to wait another week. I find this oversight pretty annoying.
-The metal frame is the exact height of my electrical/phone/cable outlets and bangs into the plugs. I will have to find a way to elevate the bed because of that.
Pros:
Easy to put assemble and next time I move, it's easy to fold up.
Inexpensive and practical
When you sleep on it, it feels good. you feel supported.
I have just a 8" mattress and it is a good total height.
Customer service was helpful and I got to speak to a human. This is an extremely sturdy bed, no wooden or flimsy parts, and the delivery was very fast. The frame dimensions without the brackets are 60"x80". Our hope was to use it to convert our 4-in-1 crib into the full-size bed, because we had bought our crib in 2005 and the store was out of business to buy the bedrails. We chose this to be able to skip the boxspring and store things under the bed. That aspect of this bed is spot-on. However, the feet on our headand footboard scrolled towards each other, instead of outwards or straight down, creating inner corners. The brackets, when mounted on the frame, don't fit into the headand footboard wood corners because the frame ends up being wider across. But there are other holes at that portion of the frame. We are going to be able to use those once we attach another piece of wood to the headboard and footboard using the pre-established crib bolts and holes, we just don't want to add any holes. I expect the frame to outlast the crib, so we're hanging on to the brackets for future use.As promised, the bed frame really was easy to assemble and can be accomplished by one person. We have been using it for a month and it appears to be strong. We are using it with just the mattress on top and is comfortable with a good mattress. We chose it because the claim is that it can hold up to 1200 pounds. Although my husband and I are no where near THAT weight, we are larger people and I wanted to be sure it wasn't going to collapse after a week. Based on my experience to date I would recommend this product.Product not what I expected. Item said "by Night Therapy". "Sold by"on order different from the advertisement details "sold by". It looked like another brand. I thought it was 2 twins pushed together to make a full. It was actually 2 smaller platforms connected by long rails to make a full. The headboard Brackets were mustard color and bed was gray. Those brackets had to be installed differently than instructions to make it work but not to big a deal. Everything was in working order with all parts. It went together easily. Seems sturdy and reasonably well built. I was some what disappointed but not being a picky person I'll live with what I got. Here's a link to what the item I got looked like. http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Revolution-Better-Than-Spring/dp/B001TJYPJ8/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hg_5I put this together in about 10 minutes. The bed is easy to assemble but if you attach a headboard be prepared to have some of your own tools. A screwdriver, and wrench are necessary only for a head board assembly. I like this bed because there is ample room under the bed for storage. I am sure that my mattress will last longer because the support is very sturdy and I probably could have saved several hundred dollars by not ordering a foundation. A foundation is not necessary unless you prefer a less than firm surface. I would recommend this because it will, I am sure, prolong the life of the mattress
LATER I'm now using this product, I was able to send back an expensive mattress foundation because it really isn't needed with this bed platform frame. The frame is high so there is good storage underneath an added bonus. In fact, it is high enough that my very thick new mattress with pillowtop would have been too high if I'd kept the foundation. I saved money going this route and am very pleased with my purchase.
The only con is that the bed skirt is sheer and flimsy but I was glad that it came with one until I can purchase a more attractive and higher quality bed skirt
