This bed is perfect.......solid wood, it is just the right height and size. It holds in your mattress,which I have a foam one. The only minus is it has a sharp edge at the two ends so I just put some edge protectors on them.

I ordered this to replace a cal king platform bed wanted something a bit shorter and wider.. it is great quality this would go for double the price in a nice furniture showroom.. it is HEAVY (which is a good thing) and took about 20-30 minutes to build.

Kind of scared about buying a bed online without seeing it first but bed is solid, sturdy and very impressed. Easy to put together. If you do not use a box spring your mattress will sit Very low to the ground. There is a boarder around the side that does stickout some so you have to get use to it so you do not hit your leg. But a great bed!
