Kartier Contemporary Platform Bed-black (Queen)

This is a beautiful contemporary styled bed. The side lounger adds additional functionality, as does the flat extended "Headboard" equivalent. I had this assembled by a third party so I cannot comment upon ease of that step.

We have put a Gelfoam mattress into it, and it is used by my daughter. It doesn't require a box spring so it sits in line with the rest of the frame. The fit and finish are solid, and I was very impressed at how stable and sturdy it feels. The leather is firm in feel and the stitching is uniform.

Practically speaking, my daughter does find use of the side lounger integrated with the bed frame, as well as the Head of the bed. It's sturdy and firm. It is a space saver since she doesn't need an additional couch or seat in the room. Because she has a large walk in closet, she doesn't have dressers or night stands to clutter the room. It's a space efficient configuration.

The delivery is a bit on the high side but the delivery person was professional.

Overall, I'd say that this is a solid purchase and my daughter loves it.
