The bed came in a few days in three large boxes, one of them too big to fit on the standard UPS truck. This isn't like other flimsy day beds I've seen, it's a solid, sturdy piece of wood furniture. Assembly wasn't hard, but the directions were detailed and required some attention. Trim quality is very good, and the pre-drilled holes all lined up. One of the back panels is off by about a quarter of an inch, but it's hardly noticeable. We were pleasantly surprised that the bed had wood slats to support the mattress rather than the standard metal springs. The drawers were an added bonus perhaps we'll again see our teenager's floor, which has been missing under mounds of clothes for years!
