Got this bed because I am scheduled to have hip surgery and my bedroom is upstairs (where I won't be able to go for a while). The cot arrived wrapped in plastic with cardboard ends. I found this odd and was worried that it had been damaged, however, it was in perfect condition and I now appreciate the fact that I don't have an enormous box that I have to get rid of. I unpackaged it, folded it out immediately to try the comfort of the mattress. It is comfortable. It is firm but I figure once I put the foam topper on it it will soften a bit. However, the fact that its firm means it should last for a while. The only thing I don't like about it is that it isn't adjustable, however, I knew that going in and it saved me some extra money. Forgetting how absolutely flat laying flat truly is, I think I'll have to get a foam wedge. If I were just sleeping for a night or two, no big deal, but I'll be on it a minimum of 6 weeks. For the purpose I purchased, good deal! It does fold up and fold out very easily. I haven't put the castors on it yet but I plan to do so today.

Slept on this nightly for a few weeks in my capacity as caregiver for my Mother. With my bad back, my expectations were not high, but anything seemed better than the floor. To my surprise, I slept quite well on it, with no adverse effects to my back.Especially like how light it is, to fold up & roll away, something done daily. Also seems to fit single bed sheet sets well. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.I got this for an extra bed thinking that it would work well and not cost an arm and a leg but the wood slats are so thin and I have 2 of them that are broken already and it has only been used 1-2 times.
