This couch is really comfortable and has very thick padding. The armrests feel like pillows.The shipping company, unfortunately damaged my sofa before delivery, so the bottom is broken and it also won't recline. (They also delivered it about six hours late after I waited all day Saturday for it.)
This means I can't review it as a bed, however it also means that I can tell you Amazon is sending me a new one to replace it, and the delivery company that brings the new one will also pick up the old one.
Good on Amazon for great customer service.
If the couch part is any indication, the bed will be just as comfy.

As far as assembly BTWYou are on your own. There are no instruction, just three or four pictures. One is of a screw pointing at a sofa followed by a picture of an assembled sofa.
Edit: The replacement couch had about 1/3 as much stuffing throughout. Apparently there is no consistency in the making of the sofas. This one feels like laying across poles covered in a blanket. I don't know what to think...

I ordered this piece for my one bedroom apartment, being that I will be using my "BR" for a weight room I am in the need for a sofa/sleeper. This product arrived on schedule however almost 6 hours later than expected.As for the quality of this sofa sleeper I give it 3.5 out of 5. It looks exactly as the picture shows & exactly what I wanted, also very comfortable. It is true that the back can be over stuffed a bit & almost give you the feeling of being pushed off, however I am able to recline the back to a 45 degree giving a nice position to relax. There are two metal legs at the rear of the sofa to stablize the "sleeper" position, which are very nicely enclosed by zipper pouches & once the sofa is in sleeper postion I would say it is even more comfortable!
The only negative(s) I found with this piece are that the parts ( 8 dual-ended threaded axles, 8 nuts & 8 washers) & manner in which the armrests must be installed, no big deal just seems like there could be a more efficient way of going about this process. Also there is no under-storage for this piece.
Would deffinitely recommend to family & friends.This sofa is probably the biggest piece of junk I've ever had the misfortune of purchasing off of Amazon. The instructions (which are completely pictures, no words) seem to show a bottom that zips open to allow access to the under side of the couch. However, the fabric on the bottom was stapled on which is unfortunate since you have to access the area under the fabric in order to put the arms on. As the previous review states, the instructions are quite poor, but more importantly the design is just terrible. Once you put the arms on, they are not removable (at least not in practical situations) and there is no storage space under the couch.
The couch I received was so over stuffed that you sit a good 6" or so above the height of a normal couch (my feet didn't touch the ground) and constantly feel like the couch is trying to push you off of it. The stuffing was also not at all even throughout the couch and subsequently one side was noticeably taller than the other. When the couch is being used as a couch (as opposed to a bed) there is a 4 x 4 x 4" gap in the back which is covered in the same cheap material that is stapled to the underside of the couch.
