ACME 02286 Ichiko 3-Panel Wooden Screen, Black Finish

For the price ~60 delivered a good buy. A few things unknown to me was that the screen printing is on one side only and the useable coverage is less than you think. The unprinted side looks very artificial with nothing to break up the view.

The paper materiel is a artificial white fabric that reminds me of the backing sewn on the back of quilting with a styrofoam quality to it. Frame is sturdy, good overall construction with a nice double hinge system. The cross members are pine rods effective and unremarkable. This can set uneven on carpet. I have it on a med pile carpet and just needed to find a sweet spot for it. Worked out fine. Hard wood ideal I would think.

Box was damaged on delivery and the materiel was pushed in. It went back to original shape after opening. A plus for the artificial materiel.

As you move back the artificial looks diminish so at 8-10ft or so it is not obvious, and even less obvious on the printed side. I have an open plan house and this was intended to provide a screen for my bed. This covers about half way head to toe on a queen size bed. Less than I wanted.

If in doubt at all buy a four panel divider. *

Not the highest quality and very fair for the price-hence the 4 stars. Wish I would of dropped a little more for the 4 panel and maybe a better screen quality but a fair buy. You will not beat this quality until you pay a much higher price.

I would add I do like how the printed side looks. Up fairly close it still looks very good.

* Still happy with this a year later. Did some checking on 4 panel dividers and was surprised to see that some of the 4 panels cover the same or less area for a higher cost usually. They must be some very small individual panels. Hard to tell by the pics. Was going to move this one and get a 4 for my bed area. Kind of hard to decode the effective area they cover. This one is a solid buy though.

I was really excited about my new screen but once I got it, it was blank! So disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered. I don't have time to deal with returning and reshipping everything (and I kind of like it if I turn the blank side around), but the fact of the matter is that it's not what I ordered.

I love the design on the panels and that they are so light weight and easily moved and rearranged. The designs are black and white and did not exactly fit into my color scheme so I colored the designs with pastels...added pink and yellow and light green ...dabbed mostly pink color( a little yellow in spots) on the blossoms and colored green streaks over the black stem and leaf outlines and colored the butterfly pink and yellow to go with my color scheme and it is gorgeous. One panel has slight puckers in the rice cloth and I don't know how it happened....maybe being next to the kitchen and moisture did it. Maybe they will straighten out by themselves. I don't know..... but it doesn't really detract that much from it. I thought the price for the room dividers and shipping was reasonable.... much less than any dividers I had seen around here. If it weren't for the slight puckers on the one panel I would say the dividers are magnificent. I still love them.
