Beds do not usually excite me, but this bed is incredible! The look is beautiful and is made even better with the below mattress storage. The hydraulics also fully support our very heavy mattress which was surprising. The setup was also easy and complete, so all in all this bed performs better then imagined. My wife an I love this bed.

This is a great bed, great quality but the last support post (near the headboard) is in a bad location. The cap broke off ours the first time we lifted the mattress frame to look at the storage space. We've had it a week now and haven't opened it again since. LOL But We are going to remove that support today and put a homemade support there. I think I'm going to glue two small pieces of wood together and then velcro them in place under the mattress frame. We actually were going to return the bed because of this issue but are having a hard time finding another bed that we like as much as this one that is also affordable. Plus most other beds we've looked at have their own short falls that need to be worked around (from what we see in reviews ... not enough slats, bad height, need a box spring, poor fabric, etc). So while this bed is not perfect we like it enough to work around it's issue.

Packing for this bed was substandard and inadequate at best. I had to deal with the hassles of returning and having the bed re-shipped. There were parts and drill holes missing and I had to drill and jury rig some things just to get the thing together. The instructions and the illustrations were very poor. The concept of the bed is nice but I would have gotten something else for all the trouble. I will dread when it is time to move and have to attempt to break this bed down.

Follow up: The bed has bowed slats that support half of the mattress...approx. 10 or more per 1/2 of the bed. Just when I thought the quality of the bed had reached its lowest...oh was I wrong. The slats all sit upon a steel frame and the mattress rests upon the slats. Well these slats all terminate in a plastic cap on either end...yes "plastic"...thin plastic at that...which are somehow tacked or glue to the top side of the frame. These caps are crap. Virtually all of them cracked and broke under normal use and allow the slats to shift and fall down into the storage area. I weigh 206 lbs. I don't bounce, jump or flop on this bed and barely lift it up to access the storage compartment. Nothing should have caused the end caps to just break and snap off of the frame. When you examine the plastic of the caps, it is so thin it is substandard!! I'm sure more of you have had this experience and should speak up about it. I was going to try crazy glue if it was a slat or two. But since it's virtually all of them and there is not of enough of the plastic caps left to attach to the frame, I'm going to seek out some type of epoxy and cement the slats themselves directly to the frame. This bed is an epic fail and sub-standard quality. I don't even have a heavy mattress on this bed. I have a high quality air mattress similar to the Sleep Number mattress. I don't recommend this bed and will try to remember not to purchase anything else from this vendor.
