I bought these drapes for my West facing dining room window. They drape beautifully, fully cover the window when pulled closed and take up only about 8-10 inches when opened. They are heavy weight and block the majority of the light. They do not have that ugly foam thermal backing of the 1960s. The back of the drape looks like the reverse side of the fabric. I am amazed at the quality of these drapes. I plan to order more for the living room.

We needed "black-out" curtains because of my husband's work schedule and these do the job well. You can still see some light shining over the top of the curtains, but I've never figured out a way to prevent that. I did get the 95" long curtains and hung the curtain rod right next to the ceiling. That does help with the amount of light that escapes over the top of the curtains. I also have the rod extending about four inches on either side of the window.

The curtains make the room very dark so that my husband can sleep in daylight hours. I have also found the black-out curtains are helpful when I have a migraine.

The fabric is very soft and luxurious. They are heavy and drape beautifully. I love the chocolate color!

I was looking for an off white or very pale beige drape but this is actually a darker beige with kind of a yellowish tinge that didn't go at all in my home.

I was a little nervous ordering a beige color but I knew that color would look best in the bedroom. We had some dark sage curtains that had a funky looking white fabric backing to them and without having grommets, they were hard to pull back and forth over our sliding glass doors that go out to the backyard. When these arrived, I loved the color and they were extremely easy to put up. I gave them the light blocking test and sure enough, they blocked out a huge percentage of light. The front of the drapes have the same fabric as the back with some type of filler in the middle and they feel super soft. The wrinkles came out after they hung for a day or two. Even my husband who doesn't really pay attention to home decoration items commented on how much better they looked than our old ones and he agreed they are a great curtain. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

These are beautiful curtains. They worth the price. However, if you are looking for blackout curtains, those are not for you. They glow on the sunlight and the room is still very bright. The curtains allow at least 30% of the light passing through.

I bought one 80"W and one 100"W. They stay only because we are using them as the 3rd layer draperies that gives nice outlook in the room.
