South Shore Furniture Logik Collection, 4-Drawer Chest

I am not overly impressed with South Shore quality. I got their bed, head board and drawer chest. You can get slightly better quality for less money from IKEA, however IKEA's shipping charge and customer service SUCK! South Shore, on the other hand, exceeded my expectations when it comes to customer service. Two boards came to me damaged from shipping (top and bottom) and sides had little bit of paint pealing off. I called their customer services, they asked what product I have and what parts I need and sent them to me right away. I was amazed. I didn't have to prove the damage (like I had to with IKEA) with pictures, they simply asked what I needed and sent it to me. I was very impressed. I would buy their products again because of their amazing customer service. The products are OK too, especially for a child's room, but don't expect a great quality.

Upon assembly, this dresser appears to be reasonably sturdy, despite it being made from particle-board. It's cute, and the drawer mechanisms work well. I purchased it as a replacement for my toddler's old dresserI do plan on using it as a changing table (with an attachable changing pad) for a new baby, despite this not being it's official function.

Assembly took about three hours altogether; one person can do most of the work, but you do need two people to do the end assembly. Instructions were pretty clear in most cases, with good illustrationsonly once did I use the wrong screws for one drawerbe careful to separate the hardware and know which ones you use for which part. The drawer bottoms are very thin and flexiblethey should stay put after final assembly, but probably can't take rough use. I was sort of shocked that one of the back pieces is basically thick cardboardthey should at least make this thin plywood. The drawer slides are plastic, not metal, so again, unsure how these will hold up in a child's room.

The finish is nice, and the drawer handles are cutewish they had blue instead of red. They seem to attach firmly. The price on this is probably about rightcheap, selfassemble furniture. Time will tell if it was worth it.

I ordered this dresser for my bedroom, and I'm very pleased with it. It is pressed wood, but it actually looks very nice in the room. And for the price the quality is quite good. The negative, however, is the assembly. It is not really difficult, but definitely tedious.

I started assembling this dresser, only to find that two pieces were missing. When I called customer service, they seemed unconcerned and said "Well, you can still use it (with the back board missing). We'll send you another one in 10 days." This has taken hours and hours to assemble due to the confusing instructions (so many different kinds of screws!), but the finished product looks decent enough for my college home.

This item is so freaking CHEAP!! All of the draweres barly stay in and its IMPOSSIBLE to open them all the way. DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT!! Took forever to set up and is one of the worst things I have ever bought on amazon. SO DISAPOINTED!!!
