Custom Picture Frame / Poster Frame 1" Wide Complete Solid Matte Black Frame (1WB3BK)

This frame was is very cheap, and already had a couple very small dings on it when I opened it. The backing is just a crappy piece of cardboard (and not really one I'd describe as "rigid") so the hooks and wire have to be screwed into the frame itself. As advertised, there is a piece of plastic instead of glass, but it's very rough around the edges as though somebody sawed it into shape and didn't give a crap. The part of the "glass" that wasn't covered by a protective film looked like somebody had rubbed steel wool across it. However, once the picture was in and it was on the wall, it looked just like any other frame. For 35 bucks, it's just fine. For $125.99, the apparent original, pre-sale price, I'd be the saddest man in the world.

I gave this frame as a gift. Originally I was going to have a picture custom framed, but it was going to cost $250. Fortunately I found the very frame I wanted from this seller for only $38. It looks great and works well. The only problem is that the 36 inch length is a little long for the thin frame and it's just a bit flexible. I didn't feel comfortable using glass as I thought it would be too heavy, so I went ahead and used the polystyrene that it came with. It still looks great. Glass could probably still be used as long as it was pretty thin to conserve weight (1/16" or maybe even 3/32" thick), but since it was a gift, I wanted to be sure and play it safe by using the styrene. So glad I found this. I saved about $200 by avoiding custom framing and buying this frame.

If you are looking for an OK frame at a low price this is the best I have found. You can easily pay over $100 for a custom frame so paying $36 is a relief.

Besides being a tad flimsy my only complaint is that the "glass" is a an overly shiny plastic that detracts from whatever is in the frame.
