Although this bench arrived in good condition and it looks as pictured (the only reason I am giving it two stars instead of 1), beware that there is NO leather components at all to this bench. Although it is advertised as bi-cast leather, and the description calls it 'leather', what arrives is actually a Made in China (yes, the name of the company is supposed to be 'American' furniture),very cheap vinyl dyed the color of leather, and there is nothing leather about this at all. I wrote to the company which refused to issue a full refund in exchange for the item. It is disappointing they wouldn't stand behind their item. Buyer beware of the quality of this item and the inaccurate description.

After reading the last review, I ordered this bench & had no fear. I am sure glad that I did! It looks great at the foot of my king size bed. Much longer than ones at other stores for a similar price. I wanted something that didn't look like a piano bench....I wanted a bench that looked classy and that would enhance the modern look of my contemporary bedroom. Don't let the "retro" word in the title throw you off, this is a versatile looking bench that would compliment all decor. The bi-cast leather looks rich and regal with a black and almost copper like marbled leather, studded leather wrapped legs and a button tufted top. It goes very well with my espresso colored dresser and nightstands. It is sturdy, and durable. The hugely discounted price for under 150 incl. shipping made this bench an affordable piece of furniture. It arrived only a week and a half (greatly protected) after ordering, despite what the shipping details originally stated! Overall, I couldn't be happier with my gorgeous bed bench and I highly recommend it to all!

This bench for the money is awesome. You can't beat it. I bought this bench for a picture wall in my living room. It is very pretty and i have gotten a lot of nice comments on it. I really like it. And for the price you can have a nice looking piece of furniture without going broke. There is some brown on the cushion like a marbleing effect. But basically all black. Very nice.

The most accurate parts of the product description are the listed dimensions. Unfortunately, the main draw of this product Bia Cast Leather is really another take on Leatherette (and it's a really cheap feeling version, at that). The product itself is easy enough to assemble, and does feel mostly solid for sitting purposes, but the cheap feel of the material detracts greatly from the overall appeal. Additionally, there was a nail sticking out of the side of the bench that had to be removed. I understand that there is an expectation of compromise when dealing with products at this price point, but even taking that into account, this product is unsatisfying.

BUY IT! You'll love this piece...it looks SO much more expensive than the price and I am SO happy with the quality. Amazon said the item would ship 2-3 weeks after ordering, I received it 4 days after I ordered it, so thank you to the seller for such prompt processing and shipping. In the picture, the "seat" part of the bench looks black in comparison to the body of the bench, but be aware the entire piece is the same color. Bench has a "distressed leather" look which is appealing. Overall, I am SO SO happy with this bench, I looked around for 6 months for a piece that was long enough to sit at the foot of our cal king bed and didn't want to settle for something expensive but cheap looking. It was extremely easy to put together, took me 10 minutes. You won't be disappointed...great product at a phenomenal price.
