The chair arrived via UPS standard shipping. All you have to do is screw on the four legs and use a phillips screwdriver (recommend a drill here) to remove four pieces of protective plywood from the base. The couch is very soft, has a firm seating and looks really nice. I would recommend Scotch Guarding for anyone with kids / dogs. Overall, a great purchase.
This chair looks nice but there are two things you should know before you buy this chair that I didn't. The chair legs are very high, I'm 5'8" and if I sit back in this chair my feet don't touch the ground. Another thing to know is the back cushion is one sided (you can never turn it around) and the bottom cushion does not come out of the chair. It is upholstered to look like a regular removable cushion but the seat is sewn in. So no turning it over ever. Nice looking chair for the money but those two things should be known.
