Ikea Black Clothes Organizer Wardrobe Compact on Wheels

Ikea Black Clothes Organizer Wardrobe Compact on WheelsMy dresser does not have drawers deep enough for my boyfriend and I's main staples like t-shirts and collar shirts. After seeing a friend with this, I put it on my "to buy" list and finally purchased it. I'm so glad I made the purchase. For the first time in I don't know how many years, the foot of our bed does not have stacks of folded shirts and jeans at the foot of it (the bed looked so much bigger last night).

Assembly is easy, but it tests you. I put this together alone and it took me 2 hours to do so. I advise putting it together with patience and paying attention to the diagrammed instructions. Once you put it together, you see that it really is an easy piece of storage. It's great that it is so easy to put together that its just as easy to disassemble and place in the storage bag for easy moving and carrying.

Since all the clothes that we need to hang are in our closet, I opted to not use the hanging feature and just use the ability to make shelves. I also didn't attach the wheels since our apartment is carpeted. The only thing about the shelves is the plastic rods you slide in along the backs of each area where a shelf will be formed. You are supposed to push the ends behind the metal rods that fit into the front of the shelf flap, but I'm not able to do so. Instead of looking seamless, the ends of the plastic rods jut out on either side on each shelf.

If you have a cat, be prepared for it to jump into one of the shelves and try to use it as a cat tree and sleep in it.

It's way more expensive on Amazon vs. going to IKEA, but I was too lazy to go out to the store and buy it. Even though it has some flaws (plastic rods explained above), I'm happy with the purchase. It is a very good way to de-clutter a bedroom.

**Edit** After talking with my friend who owns this, there are small compartments in which the ends of the plastic rods fit into. The organizer looks a whole lot better and is much better looking. It's a struggle to put the ends in the compartments, when you place the opposite end, you have to bend the rod a little to fit it in the compartment. It's also hard to see if you buy the black organizer, so use a flashlight or a very bright lamp.

First of all, let me say that this is the WORST to unwrap. The packing is god-awful, and will probably take you 20 minutes to get the enormous amounts of tape and plastic off. But wait, there's more! IT DOESN'T COME WITH ANY INSTRUCTIONS! So now I have all of these worthless parts splayed across my floor with no method or hope of even putting this stupid thing together. Don't ever buy anything from Ikea.
