Winsome Wood Beechwood End/Accent Table

Apparently. Found this lying on my uncovered porch today (thanks delivery service). It was easy to assemble, and was actually wood. The color is lighter than the online 'walnut'--it had more of a reddish hue to it. Our bedroom furniture is walnut, which is why we chose it, so it slightly clashes.

The wood was dented and chipped, but I'm not sure if I should be OK with it since we paid $45 for it, but, either way, I'm too lazy to send it back, given what it's going to do (sit in the corner, barely visible). The door and drawer work nicely, and it's light-weight, once it's constructed. My only complaint would be the color difference vs. online, the hole fillers not fitting properly (some at all), and the blatant dings and nicks in the wood. It was well packaged, so I'm not sure if it was flawed pre-packaging...but still, the company should take more pride in their product. End point: good bargain for what you get, and it looks more high-end than some of the other furniture for the same price.

This product (or, at least the one I received) has several major flaws:

The finish work is very poor. A monkey could've done a better job guiding the router with a steady hand to create the inset look on the front drawer/door.

Despite being packaged quite well, there were numerous dings/discolorations on the finished pieces. I can only assume that these problems existed prior to packaging and were just missed by the manufacturer's QC process.

Some of the pre-drilled holes that are provided on each piece to help with assembly don't line up properly with the pieces that they're supposed to match up to. I hd to create a couple of my own holes to get this unit assembled properly.

The flip-up piece meant to hold the drawer in place (which came installed from the factory) was not installed in a position that would have done anything to retain the drawer. I had to move it, which required drilling a new hole.

The bottom panel on the inside cabinet attaches to nothing, is incredibly flimsy, and just sort of sits in place. Don't expect to put any thing inside the cabinet that have any sort of substantial weight -it won't hold it.

The pre-attached door on the unit I got doesn't close smoothly it is hung slightly crooked, so it rubs on the bottom edge when you go to close it.

Despite these flaws, the finished product looks OK so long as you don't look too close. It matches the color and decor of the other furniture in the room.

We did have someone come put them together for us and he didn't have any problems at all. He also said the quality is very good.

I ordered two of these for our bedroom and they are great! They were easy to assemble and look great. I will say that the finish is not a protective finish, so it may scratch easily. So, be especially careful when you are putting it together. I scratched the top of the first one I put together, so just make sure to keep the protective wrap underneath it when you are assembling. These are a great size, a nice dark rich color, and are sturdy. Highly recommend!
