I am giving this product five stars because: it arrived in a timely manner, every single piece needed was included (along with a few extras), for the money -it looks wonderful. There may be those that give it a lower rating because it isn't solid wood. Get real people -you are not going to get solid or even veneer for this kind of money. So, I say the value is there. My husband and I put this together in under an hour using the easy to follow pictorial directions. I hate the written out instructions that nobody can understand. Somebody did a great job drawing accurate pictures showing you step by step how to put it together. Piece of cake. Would definitely recommend this for a child's room. It probably won't end up being a family heirloom passed from generation to generation, but should do fine for our nine-yr old's room and looks so much better than having a bare mattress and box springs on a frame. My little guy loves all the storage space on the headboard.

(we also bought the matching bed, so review of this item similar to bed )This item also came together nicely packaged. Before starting assembly I took inventory of items and no missing pieces. Assembly came together fairly well. If you are not handy with tools or have no patience, suggest someone else assemble this or it can get frustrating. Once completed, the item did feel flimsy and not "solid" but once it was attached to bed and against the wall, it did not matter as the bed and support against wall made it feel "solid". Overall, we are satisfied with this item, along with the matching bed.

The bpackage arrved without the hardware and I was informed by South Shore that I would have to wait 5 days for the hardware arrive. Poor quality control and poor customer service. The person taking my information was very slow.

besides its low quality wood! very dissapointed with purchase i dont recomend this at all.
