Side Table Cabinet with Magazine Rack

Putting the side table together was not to difficult but removing all the packing was a real pain. Whats worse is that with all the packing there was a 1/2" section of the side rack that had the finish missing. This had to happen during manufacture since it was well protected for shipping. Fortunately for us the side rack faces a wall so we decided not to return it. The hardest part of assembly, as stated in other reviews, was assembling the side rack. It does look very nice and has a handy slide out tray and storage inside.

I ordered 2 of these thinking they would go beside the sides of the couch. When I received them I realized that the magazine rack only fits on the left side therefore they look funny on both sides of the couch!

There is no legitiment way of assembling this rack. Couple crucial connections are located underneath of shelves. You have to make a choice which piece is more important and has to be fixed and which piece will be shaky.

The quality is proportional to the price of the product. China's quality control did not include all the necessary hardware. Since woodworking is a hobby of mine I was able to complete the assembly with items found in my shop. Someone else might have to send the whole thing back.

Good value for the money. Husband assembled it in no time flat with no problems. His mother raves about it...it's just what she needed beside her recliner. Ample magazine storage, great little pull out shelf and good storage inside the cabinet too. Doesn't take up too much room either. Looks great, like maybe we paid a lot more for it than we did.
