I purchased this stool as a present for Hannukah. It appeared to be well made and looks nice, but this is purely an illusion. The foot stool literally fell into pieces when opened. There was no glue in any of the joints where the pieces of wood attached, only one staple which pulled out immediately. I have purchased several tubes of super glue and am hoping that this piece of garbage holds together. I am very disappointed. Please do NOT waste money on this foot stool.

Nicely enough produced for the price. One off-putting thing, the bottom of each leg is not finished and has what looks to be a deep lathe hole. Some inexpensive leg caps of some kind would make this better.

This was shipped quickly and packed great as to avoid breakage. I was already assembled and the wood color and tapestry colors are vibrant. It also has a cute little storage space. Perfect footstool for any chair.

I've had two of these for a while now. While I'm exhausted from how much furniture has to be assembled at home, this piece requires only screwing in the four legs. The top lifts up so you can store odds and ends in the shallow space--one of my two keeps the DVD player's remote. The stool's cushion is not soft, but it is comfortable cloth and attractive. It's just the right height for keeping feet and ankles elevated against swelling for long periods at the computer table or in front of a 3-hour movie on TV. The cats aren't particularly interested in sitting on it: they know it's mine. Warning, though: I bought this third one because a friend came over to sit with me at the computer; she sat on one of the two stools I had and two legs gave way beneath her. Don't recommend the stools for sitting. Maybe the cats know something I didn't.
