You should be very careful in peeling the letters off. I found it wise to grab the first tiny part of the letter you get loose and hold it to the wall with your right hand finger, then slowly pull with the left hand, letting the letter come off the way it wants to. Then it will fall into place and you don't have to wiggle around with the letters.

I was surprised that this came off as easily as it did. Patience is the name of the game. Go slowly. There are a lot of letters. Take just one at a time.
