Greenland Home Amelia Quilted Patchwork Throw

I purchased this quilt for my pet. It arrived, ad I couldn't believe how pretty it was. So, my pet didn't get to use it.

I, could't beleive the quality of this quilt. Very, very nice.

I have had this about a month now. I love the colors, especially the reverse side which is a light blue with roses on it. It is medium weight and warm. I didn't want a whole quilt so this size (50X60)is perfect for a throw to cover up with while reading or watching TV. It is not soft and it never will be. I washed it every weekend and it hasn't changed a bit; but I didn't buy it for the softness though I would have liked more softness, so that is why I only gave it 4 stars. The binding around the edges is a small red and white gingham check which is a nice touch.

It's a beautiful, colorful, well made little quilt with a country cottage look. Looks great over the back of a couch in the family room of my little house.

I was looking for a small cheap quilt to take with my son to the park for pictures. I wanted something I could just throw around outside to get dirty afterwards because I figured it wouldn't last the photo session. I didn't expect much out of this quilt, but I was amazed when I received it. It is very pretty and seems extremely sturdy. The patterns are nice and the stitching is good. I noticed another reviewer said it isn't soft. I washed it in baby detergent and a good amount of free/clear fabric softener. When I pulled it from the dryer it was nice and soft! I couldn't bear to use it for photos then because I had fallen in love with it. It's on the floor of my son's playroom now. He loves exploring and discovering the patterns.

The one downside is that it did fade a little with the wash, but I like that because I think it gives it a bit more of a family heirloom type feel. Growing up my grandmother had a quilted blanket she called a snuggie (nothing like what we have around today!) and we used to snuggle up together on the weekends to watch tv. The snuggie is long gone now, but this blanket reminds me a lot of that old snuggie and I am hoping to start a new tradition with my children.

You can read my feedback and know how much I like this quilt. This color is my favorite, even through I like the other also. I rid my self of heavy comforters, because I wanted light weight quilts. The colors of both quilts make the country look of my home perfect.
