I purchased this table recently when it was decided I was hosting Thanksgiving, and I have to admit I was a little weary of making a big purchase without seeing the set in person. When it arrived (all 300 lbs of it), the table's quality, finish, and detail really surpassed my expectations. It's such a great value, and the black and brown complements any decor. Chairs are very comfortable, and the entire set is extremely well constructed. I'm certainly looking forward to using this table for years to come. The only caution I would offer is that it's very heavy and comes in 4 total boxes so there's some heavy lifting required. But once inside it's very easy to put together!

I was worried about shopping for a table online, reading others reviews about the company that sells this table I got scared. I ordered the table anyways, because of the price and seating available. My shipment arrived less than a week after I made the purchase. It comes on a frieght truck so UPS did have to schedule a delivery. My husband and 13 year old son were able to bring it in by themselves, there were 4 boxes. Nothing was damaged and I recieved all the parts. I ended up putting the whole thing together mostly by myself and it probably took 4 hours. The table comes with a leaf insert to make it larger, very easy to place and remove. The table is sturdy and solid. I love the leather tops on the chairs/bench and there is plenty of seating.

I was in the market for a good dining table set but I did not want to break the bank by purchasing one. I did a lot of research comparing prices and it resulted in this dining set. As of this writing, this is the best deal on the web. It is manufactured by Coaster, a company that manufactures mid range furniture. The quality is very good and it looks impressive. All of the wood is solid wood and the table has a veneer surface. I think the wood is "rubberwood" (I may be wrong) which is commonly used in furniture construction. The delivery was exceptionally fast. I ordered on a Tuesday and it was delivered five days later. I purchased from Furniture Creations just before the price went up by $50. I was concerned that the dining table would be damaged in transit but this was not the case at all. I even opened up the packaging in front of the delivery guy just to make sure I did not have to send it back with them.

It took a couple of hours to assemble and the instructions were easy to understand. A tip I always recommend is to use wood glue when assembling the chairs. All you need is a small dab at the joints. This ensures that the chairs will never get loose. I have wooden flooring, so I added some felt floor protector to the chair and dining table legs. I was worried that the chairs would be flimsy but they are not and have a good solid construction.

This is an exceptional deal considering the price. I highly recommend this if you want something that will last (if you take care of it) and do not want to break your budget.

Overall, I love the look and quality of the table, but the chairs aren't that great. You would be better off buying just the table if you can and then buying more sturdy chairs.

Pros:

Good quality table, looks nice, easy to put together, has a leaf to make table longer, leaf is easy to put in and take out, chairs and bench are comfy, and it's sturdy,

Cons:

Chairs are very poor quality I am constantly having to re-tighten the screws. One of the chairs actually broke after having it for only a year. It broke where the support bar is screwed in to the leg this is not because of excess weight on them either, just to be clear. The table is also very hard to clean because of the design of it. It looks great, but trying to get all of the crumbs out of it is hard unless you vacuum it.

I purchased this set a year ago February 2012, when it arrived I loved it...However, when I started to put the chairs together some of them had problems. Some of the holes where you screw in the legs were not aligned properly so the chairs were uneven when you set them on the floor. The screws didn't screw all the way in and other screws had to be replaced. I had to reach out to the company for two replacement chairs, I give them credit because they were very responsive. The cushioning on the chairs is really not of great quality. When you sit on it for a long period of time you see the indentation of the person who sat there. It takes a few days to return back to normal.

I love the table, I didn't have any issues with it, it's very well made and it's very sturdy.

If anyone is looking to purchase this set, I would just go with the table and buy different chairs as one already broke and I'm going to have to get it fixed elsewhere. I don't see the chairs lasting a long time.

I give the table 5 stars and the chairs 1 star.
