This is a cute book rack, but VERY shallow. It will fit behind a door, which is a Good Thing, but it must be fastened to the wall, wherever you put it. It should not be called a bookcase, as it absolutely is not freestanding. Think of it as a wall rack that installs at floor level. That being said, we liked it once we got over the surprise of how it functions. If you're short on floor space and don't mind putting a couple of screws in the wall, this is your man.
My kids love this bookcase!! it holds well over 70 of their picture and reading books. They use it every day and like the way they can see the covers when choosing what to read.

It did not have much space at all for the amount of money it costed...maybe 25 books. Do not waste your money. Buy something that will hold more books. Very dissappointed.
