The buffet is constructed of only about 50% solid wood (rubber wood). The doors, entire bottom shelf, drawer, backing, and wine rack are all cheap veneer covered composite wood. I had been looking for this particular color and style in solid wood and am very disappointed that the description on Amazon does not reflect the true construction. It looks fine, but it's not quite what I thought I'd be getting.

Additionally, the delivery company informed me that they would arrive between 8 am and noon (a four hour window). At 12:15 I called and was told they would call me back in 5 minutes. They didn't. At 12:45 I called again and they told me it would arrive at 3 pm... it didn't arrive until almost 4 pm -a wasted day waiting for an unreliable delivery company to deliver a disappointing product.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. I wanted a piece to match an existing set, and this product had the right color and dimensions I was looking for. The sideboard fit my needs and exceeded my expectations. The piece is heavier than expected, and looks like it will hold up a few years. For the price, this is a great addition to my dining room!
