Modus Furniture Nevis 7 Drawer Dresser, Espresso

I just want to start out by saying I have no issues with Amazon or the seller Cymax, my negative review is strictly as to the product and the manufacturer, Modus. I bought several pieces from this collection and each and every piece has something wrong with it that did not come from shipping. The drawers on the dressers and the wardrobe I purchased were made terrible, they screwed the tracks of the drawers in incorrectly and split the actual drawers from the tracks. Cymax sent a replacement yet the replacement had the same issues. I had to find someone to fix this because I was tired of getting replacement items that were continuosly arriving damaged, so a carpenter friend of ours glued and nailed the drawers so they are useable but they are absolutly hideous to look at. Again, Cymax just deals with the selling aspect and they did their best to help fix this situation, but I wanted amazon shoppers to be aware that this manufacturer after being contacted several times does not answer emails or phone messages and sends out faulty damaged furniture which I feel is not made with quality.

This is the first piece of furniture I have ever bought online and without having seen it in person. Needless to say, I was leery of doing so! I was swayed to make this purchase by 3 factors:

1) It's sold through Amazon so I figured I'd be covered if I needed to return it (that said, the prospect of trying to return a 200llb item was not a pleasant one).

2) The reviews for other Modus furniture were quite good.

3) Modus' website has some great videos of all of their collections. After viewing the video, it seemed like this would be a quality piece.

I'm happy to report that reality matched nicely with my expectations! The furniture is sturdy and well constructed. The color is a lovely deep brown with just a hint of crimson. As promised on the Modus site, the casters/rails for the drawers offer the nice glide of higher end furniture.

All in all I am pleased and will likely purchase the matching night stands.

Delivery was also a relatively good experience, though I did have a moment of trepidation when I saw how damaged the exterior of the box was (luckily, there wasn't a single mark on the dresser).

I like this product enough that I just ordered it again. We have a baby on the way and didn't see a reason that we needed a baby-specific dresser. We've had this in our bedroom for a couple years now and it has stood the test of time (at least the first two years). Drawers slide nicely. The quality is up to par for the price. I love the clean modern design.
