We like these a lot.

My wife suggested them and my initial reaction was to be a little skeptical, especially at the price. I was worried that the mechanicals would not be sturdy (we'll see about longevityhad them for several months and all is still OK), or that the chrome would be cheesey looking.[I hope they don't ever develop Chinese chrome rust spots].

It turns out that they seem to be just fine for our use. The pistons adjust to any height and hold, and also have a wide range of adjustment.

These are the only seats in our kitchen and are around our island in our tiny but beautiful informal house on the water. We have had several small dinner parties with these, and they have worked just fine for all sizes and shapes of people. We are small and short legged, but are open minded and count many tall people among our friends as well.

Be careful, however, if you try to add a stool to the group later. We ordered another pair from another vendor, figuring they probably all come out of the same container in Long Beach and move to various resellers around the country. Different seat material entirely (shiny plastic vs. matte finish fiberboard/plastic of these) and didn't match at all. Had to send them back.

I bought these for my son's apartment. These are covered in leather, not vinyl and are as good a knockoff of the original as you will find for a much lower price. They look good and feel good. The only drawback is that the back is low and if you want to sit there for a long time, not just breakfast or a drink, they are not the right stool to buy.

Received this yesterday. It's solidly built and easy to assemble. Surprisingly sturdy for a tall bar stool that is connected to the base at a single point with 3 machine screws.

Sturdy bar stool, trendy design, great quality. The weight of this stool is substantial and will hold average sized adults easily! It was well packaged with all surfaces well wrapped. The pistons allow your chair's height to be adjusted, and it does so smoothly. I don't know about longevity of this item, as we have only had them a few weeks. The leather brown depicted matched what arrived and all chairs were the same shade of brown. They fit underneath a counter-height or bar height island easily, and the low profile allows them to be tucked underneath. A nice modern piece of furniture!
