Harbor View Nightstand

It has taken more than half a day to put this together. It looks pretty good, but I would not recommend it, because too many things can go wrong putting it together. My husband is very handy and this is taking way too long... Before nails and screws, there are 54, yes, 54 pieces to one stand. After finishing and double checking the extensive handbook, the drawer does not close properly.

I purchased this for one of my beach rentals as an companion piece to the matching headboard and TV armoire. The entire set brings a nice, cottage-y feel to the bedroom. The top of the nightstand was damaged but I was assured a replacement piece would be sent to me free of charge when we return to the rental in April. All the pieces in the series are well made, substantial, and offer just the right look. I am purchasing a second nightstand for our trip in April.

The night stand was better than I expected. We put it in the guest room, but would put same product anywhere in house. Instructions for assembly were very easy to understand. We also bought a headboard to match. Also very nice.

Big piece of furniture and incredibly sturdy! Very pleased with the product! And the company's customer service is impeccable! (Mis-screwed a piece and they sent me a replacement the same day!) only complaint is how long they took to assemble.

This item is huge! I measured to be sure I had enough room, so it should not have been a surprise, but in person, this is massive with more than enough room to accommodate a lamp, phone, cup of coffee, candle and still have enough for a big cat to sit on it :) One disappointment is that when lying in bed, the drawer is so wide, it's hard to reach the knob to open it without straining, so two knobs would have been a better design, in my opinion. I have purchased other items in this product line and it's still important to pay close attention to the instructions. For example, just because you've put together other Sauder products with drawers, doesn't mean these will assemble in the same way. Overall, I'm very pleased with the assembled product and it was easier than some of the other products to put together and took me about 2 hours to finish it. I now have 4 items from the Harbor View collection and really love them. They look great in my room with light blue walls. I read another review where someone mentioned Valspar's Woodrow Wilson Blush paint as a touch up and I bought some and it's a close match. Harbor View is an antique white in color, with a warm, almost yellow cast to it.
