Furnitech 36 in Classic Modern Console with Tapered Legs (Wenge Finish)

I was looking for a good quality tall tv stand that would not overwhelm my modestly sized apartment while also accommodating my 20" wide Polk center speaker. That turned out to be a tall order. After searching the internet for a couple months and visiting a couple furniture stores, I finally happened upon this stand. It fit all the specifications listed above while also being a cool design. It looks good, the center speaker fits and it is solid. It may be too solid because it weighs a lot (approximately 150lbs). It is not something that you are going to move on a whim. Other than weight, the downside that I see is that the espresso brown finish that is ubiquitous in the furniture world is a detriment to what is a really beautiful piece of furniture. If placed in a darker corner the stand's great shape and details disappears into the shadows. A cherry finish would have made this a 5 star investment.
