This price was really too good to be true. The chair arrived today and was promptly opened. The state of the large, cardboard box should have been a clue; the packing tape was barely holding onto the box and a section of cardboard was ripped at the edge. The chair was poorly wrapped in a single layer of thin bubble wrap and invisible tape just for the back and seat. The arms were not protected. The legs have a clear plastic sleeve. I unwrapped it and found scratches in the form of a gouged out area at the front lower lip of the seat. There were long hairline scratches on the arms. The back was not completely see through, because there were various smudges that wouldn't rub away. That's just the damage to the chair. As for the actual construction quality of the chair, that was disappointing as well. I expected that all of the seams would be somewhat visible, but I didn't expect such rough plastic edges to those seams. It looks kind of sloppy and melted in some places. So, this chair looks good from a distance and not up close.

I just rented a small apartment and wanted the living room to look more spacious. I'd seen these chairs in a Palm Springs house as dining chairs. My space is way more casual but they did their job. Sturdy, I stood on them to replace a smoke alarm, and it really is fun to be able to see through them! Ghosts will always have a seat at my house. Mission accomplished with only enough space for 2 chairs the room looks light and airy.

Awesome! The chair has very little flaws, can be mistaken for the real deal. Also very sturdy and comfortable, I use it as a desk chair in my home office. If examined, you can see where the seams/joints were done but that doesn't bother me at all as at a glance it's not noticeable.

I absolutely love this chair. Of course I was looking for the original ghost chair, but really couldn't justify (nor afford) the $400/chair. I came across this on amazon and decided to give it a shot. It's a very comfortable chair (but that's not why you buy it), well packaged, sturdy and beautiful. Every one of my friends have mistaken it for the original.

I'm in the process of buying a second one so I can put it at the dining room table. Highly recommend!
