Purchased two of them. The product description was very specific that these were wood. I expected inexpensive stained wood. They are particle board with a laminate on them and scar very easily. The front edges are plastic. For the money they are ok they just should not be able to call them wood.

This desk went together very well. It was manufactured in Taiwan, not China, and that may have something to do with the quality of the item. Though it is not solid wood, it looks like it'll be fine and last a while.
