I bought this item primarily because of its look, and it looks nice with my other furniture of this type. However, it is also surprisingly sturdy and provides a great amount of storage. On the shelves I am able to fit a video gaming system, a DVD player, a DVD recorder, and a satellite receiver. It is very wide with convenient holes in the back to organize your wires. It sets a 42" HDTV at my preferred level for viewing from the couch, but some people may want their TV higher, so check the dimensions. It definitely fits into a modern or contemporary decor best.

The only drawback is that it takes a long time to assemble (or maybe that was just me). I searched at stores and online and this item was the best value with the style I like.

The piece was more or less exactly what I was looking for at a great price. You can tell the quality just by the weight of the box it arrived in.(over 100lbs!) Looks great and feels very sturdy.

I had an issue with the assembly though. There was one instruction that was incorrect, and then impossible to go back and correct as the pieces were impossible to remove. I ended up just hammering in a piece of the drawers on my own, contrary to what the instructions said. I looked at it every possible way and I don't see how the instructions could be correct.

This is obviously a significant annoyance, but with a little improvisation it came out ok. I would definitely recommend this product, but I would also strongly recommend that the manufacturer re-checks the instructions.
