Southern Enterprises Wexford Petite Convertible Gel Fireplace

I've been wanting a gel fireplace for a long time, but haven't felt comfortable with the price or size of many. Here, at last, is a smaller, more affordable option, that makes me smile, everytime I come into my bed/sitting room. I have it in a corner with an antique mantle-clock on the extention-leaf. It's a totally charming piece of furninture, of good quality. I'm a grandmother, and found the assembly to be easy. I've burned the gel fuel, sometimes 2 cans, sometimes 1, and it gives off a cozy warmth, and I love the sound of the 'crackle'. The firebox is small (less than 18" wide,)and as such, will restrict options for inserts, but the cement 'log' which comes with it, and the included loose 'embers' is rather nice, I think. Come summer, I may just place some scented votives in there.

All-in-all, I simply love this little fireplace, and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to dress up or 'cozy up' a room.

I am very pleased with how the fireplace looks....it's a perfect fit for my space. My only negative is the log. It is not large enough to hide the can of gel which looks a little awkward. I plan on replacing the log, with a larger one,so that it looks like a real fire and the can of gel does not show. Otherwise, I am very pleased.

I loooove this fireplace! It is the perfect size and comes with a extra piece so you can use it as a corner fireplace or without it as a regular fireplace. The gel fuel works great and emmits plenty of heat. It also crackles like real wood! Absolutely love it and so does my boyfriend.

Perfect if you have a small place but it is tiny and doesn't generate a lot of heat. If you want small and for The cute look, it's perfect. The fire gels are expensive though.
