South Shore Vito Collection 5-Drawer Chest

My boyfriend put this together. He is experienced in putting together all types of furniture. It did take longer than anticipated about 4 hours. The drawers was the most work. I recommend wood glue for the drawers to hold them together. Once together it is very similar to the other dresser from South Shore (step one) I believe. It is very pretty and will hold things for storage which is what we wanted. The only thing I want to put a small tv on top and it is a little sturdy but wobbles slightly (cardboard backing) so we are going to use the mount for the wall to hold better in place. Overall very nice looking, I think it should have been cheaper.

This dresser is horrible. The drawers do not close all the way and the paint started chipping as I was putting it together. It is not well made at all. You get what you pay for with this item!

I bought this drawer chest for my girlfriend to store her clothes and it has been a storage savior! Granted, it took a little long to assemble it, but not as long or hard as others have exaggerated. If you have COMMON SENSE and a somewhat knack for assembling stuff, then it shouldn't be that hard or tedious to setup.

Either way, I love the wood on the furniture and the size was neither too big or small to fit in our bedroom. I would definetly recommend this product for those who need to put clothes in a great storage piece of furniture.

After reading all of the reviews on Amazon, I went against my better judgment and purchased this dresser. I needed a black dresser for my son who already had a black bunk bed. I was having a hard time find a nice looking one, so when I came across this I was very happy. I thought the look of it was perfect for a little boy's room. When I got it, it took me at least 10 hours (broken up across a few days) to put this together. The instructions were just pictures, and no words. It was a matter of interpretation on whether or not you were using the right pieces. To make it worse, the back panel is just a cheap piece of cardboard that ripped while I was assembling it. Finally, I got this thing put together, and not even a month later one of the drawers broke. I knew it would be cheap, but I never thought it would be this cheap! Since I already own it, I will get a carpenter to add a wood back to it and fix the drawers, but I would not recommend it as a buy for anyone else.

I bought this dresser because I had a limited amount of space for a dresser and I liked that it was not super wide but still deep. Other reviews were positive, so I went with it. Within 3 months of use, the outer side panel warped and the three middle drawers don't stay in the drawer tracks any longer. Essentially, this dresser is now a giant heap of particle board that holds two drawers.

This is cheaply produced, so just don't expect to see a lot of use before it cracks or warps.
