These tables look great and are certainly worth the price, and in the end makes an excellent end table for a recliner or couch.

*** The problem described below is VERY easily fixed when assembling the table ***

However, I had to withhold 1 stars because of the poor stability. After I assembled the table I noticed that the top surface felt loose and had a lot of movement. I double checked all my screws and pegs and they were all seated securely, the problem is that it uses a combination of a screw and a wooden peg to secure the top to the base. The peg is on top and no matter how tightly you seat the screw the peg acts as a rocker.

The easy fix is a small L shaped bracket (you can get 4 of these for $2 at Lowes) attached under the table between the arms that support the table top. Fix adds an additional 5 mins to the assembly, and is very easy, but I still felt as though the product should be able to stand on it's own merit for a 5 star rating.

All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase, I own 2 of them now and wouldn't hesitate to order one again.

After reading all of the negative reviews on this product, I was almost scared off. I actually was going to buy the similar table with a curved metal frame and wood top, but it was not available on Prime and so with shipping, the price ended up higher than this table. I decided to take a chance because there were some positive reviews and/or suggestions for adding hardware that made sense to me. Maybe the manufacturers have made improvements since prior reviews, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with this table. I assembled it in about 5 minutes and it seems perfectly sturdy without any additional hardware. All of the screws fit fine. Is it Ethan Allen or Thomasville in quality? No, but it's a 40 dollar sofa table/drink stand. Not sure what people expect. I will agree that the magazine bin on the front seems fairly useless due to its size and I was going to leave it off, but then realized it's an important structural component. Anyway, if you are scared off by the reviews, don't be. If you want an inexpensive table that does what it looks like it does, i.e. holds a drink or a snack or a remote and nests against the sofa (and is available on Prime), don't be scared off.

I love the finished product but ran into an issue during assembly. The screws provided weren't big enough or the predrilled holes were too big and it wobbled. We swapped out a few of the screws that we had issues with with some we had here at home and it's a perfect little side table. My netbook and mouse sit on top of it and I attached a drink older to the side so it's perfect!
