Skyline Furniture Walnut Hill Storage Bench in Canary Fabric

This bench is at the foot of our bed. It doubles as a laundry hamper. It is exactly what I was hoping for.

The colour is between a moss and a sage. It isn't as yellow green as I thought the pictures portrayed. I am glad for that. The quality of bench and fabric is pretty good. I rated it a four because the fabric doesn't match up on the lid and base. Fortunately, mine isn't too noticeable that I'd want to send it back as did a previous reviewer. But, I lucked out because I can see how it could look really bad if my fabric happened to placed be 2 inches over on the lid. The placement of the birds would make them two headed and it would be weird. So it depends on which one you get if it will look good. The manufacturer could easily eliminate this issue by better aligning the fabric. It doesn't have to be a perfect match, but at least a match that flows. Mine is close enough.

I really wanted to like this bench, which I planned to use as a window seat and for extra storage. The storage was awesome! I got about 10 photo albums in the bench and had a little room to spare! It was also comfortable to sit on and had a nice, sturdy weight and feel. The problem was with the upholstery. The pattern on the fabric doesn't match from the bench top to the base. It's also a very large print, so the mis-match is quite obvious. (For example, my bench ended up with two palm-sized bird heads sitting one on top of the other, making for a very odd looking bird and a cheap looking upholstery.)

While I considered keeping the bench and re-upholstering, I could do that with a much cheaper, second-hand bench from a thrift store, so back this one goes. The good news is I don't believe amazon is charging me for return shipping, since the online picture shows the bench with a matching fabric pattern.

This ottoman is AWESOME!!! My partner and I were planning on getting a Singapore swing, but this knee-high ottoman does the trick! It's very soft and easy to clean, too!! Some might say that this piece of furniture is legen ... dary!

This is a excellent addition to our bedroom. We needed to create some sitting space as well as storage, and the bright color and design matched our bedroom accessories.

It is well made and well finished, and appears to be a durable product that will last.
