Pros: The media center arrived very well packaged. Instructions are fairly well lay out and parts are well labeled except for the base shelf assembly which was not well explained. Once you flip the tower upside down then it become self evidenced on how the center metal bar needs to be fastened to the base.
Cons: 1. Three glass shelves are provided. They are exactly the same size. Top one fits perfectly. However, due to the curvature of the shelf support. The middle shelf barely reach the shelf supports while the lowest glass shelf is about 1/2 inch too shallow to reach the back bracket support. It keep falling off the side supports because of the rounded front edge. It is the most frustrating experience because that is the last step in the assembly process. To correct this, I went to a local glass shop and have them cut me two new glass shelves. Not cheap but it worked.
2. The width of the glass shelves are too short for most amps. It is only 17 inches wide. My amp is over 17 inch wide so the only place to put it is on the top wooden shelf.
3. By the time you find out it is too late to return. Extremely difficult to repackage and return.
I would not recommend this until the manufacturer correctly sized the different glass shelves for each level. Buyers Beware! This is a beautiful and unique piece. It is very sturdy and looks very nice. The only downer is that it isn't wide enough to hold most stereo receivers, except on the top shelf. It was delivered packed very well. Couldn't be happier for not seeing the item in person.
