Lambs & Ivy 5 Piece Bedding Set, Enchanted Forest

My husband and I recently purchased the Lambs and Ivy Enchanted Forest bedding set because we wanted a woodland animal themed nursery for our soon-to-arrive little one. There aren't many woodland themed sets out there, and from our perspective, this was by far the cutest woodland animal set we had seen anywhere. We wanted a bedding collection that was gender neutral, as we are waiting to be surprised if our baby will be a boy or a girl. Some reviews I have seen for this product make it seem as if this set is much more geared towards boys than girls, but I guess it all depends on your perspective. Who ever said that a bedroom had to have pink or purple in it to be for a girl?!? We are both very happy with this set and know it will be perfect for our little one regardless of it ends up being a boy or a girl.

The quilt is thick and is made out of many different textures/fabrics, which we LOVE! It also washed very well. We had originally purchased this set mainly for the quilt, but now that it has arrived we have been very pleased with all of the remaining items included in the set as well (bed skirt, diaper stacker, sheet, and window valence). They coordinate well with the quilt, and also perfectly matched other items that can be purchased separately that are a part of the Enchanted Forest collection (we have the wall decals, mobile, and a second window valence). Overall we are very pleased with the set and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of theme for their nursery.

I'm thrilled with this set. The quality is top-notch for such an affordable bedding set. The quilt has several different soft fabrics on it, the stitching is done very well, and the detail is wonderful. The diaper stacker is adorable, as well. There are all sorts of colors you can pick up on for painting the nursery, as well bright green, moss green, sky blue, gold, burgundy, and tan among others. This was purchased as a gift by my mother for my soon-to-arrive son, but it's very gender neutral. It would be a nice alternative to the overkill of pink, butterflies, and lace that seems to dominate bedding for girls while still being a cheery set. It doesn't include a bumper, but for me this was a perk. You're not supposed to use bumpers anymore unless they are the breathable mesh type due to safety issues (linked with increased risk of SIDS), so there's no reason to pay for something I wouldn't use.

This is just the right bedding set for our nursery. It is plush and adorable and gender neutral. The price is competitive. I am pleased.

I love this set! It is a good quality set, nicely made quilt, with coordinating accessories. As a foster parent, never knowing if I will have a boy or girl, I feel this is neutral enough to work for either. Overall, I am extremely happy with this set and the accessories that I bought to go along with. I like the wrinkle free fabrics, it was nice to pull the bedskirt and sheet out of the washer and not have to iron it.

I did only give 4 stars for two reasons 1) When I washed the quilt, some of the fabrics used for the animals pilled pretty badly, and 2) I feel there could be some improvement in how to hang the diaper stacker. It would work fine on cribs that have a thin rail along the top, but mine does not so it hangs sloppily on the side of the crib. I also would have preferred to get something else in the bundle instead of the single curtain panel, but that's just me and that did not affect my rating.
