This item was delivered within 1 week. I put it together in less than an hour and a half. It is sturdy and it looks very nice. It's outer layer is wood with a layer of pressed wood and a thin layer of cedar on the inside. For the price, I am very satisfied and feel it's a very solid and nice accent piece for storage.

The chest is very pretty but it was missing some hardware. After numerous emails back and forth, I finally gave them my sons email and had them deal directly with him. All and all, it has been 7 months and it still has not be settled satisfactorily.Want Coaster Cedar Chest with Lock, Oak Discount?
I bought this chest for my husband to store his T-shirts. The directions were simple to follow and it only took about 20-30 minutes to put together. It would probably have taken less, but we have 3 little boys that like to "assist". Once completed, the chest looked very nice, my husband seemed pleased with the quality and it served its purpose. However after a month of use which was probably opening and closing once per day by my husband, he noticed a cracking sound. Upon inspection, the screws in the hinges were pulling at the wood. When we both took a look at it to make sure I didn't assemble it incorrectly and to find a solution to the problem, the wood ripped off of the chest. Honestly, we don't know what would cause such a break in function, it's a hinge, nothing uncommon or complicated. We've had to replace the hinges and also brackets. The locking mechanism is also finicky. Sometimes I cannot open it to put away his shirts and I leave it there for him to fumble around with for 5 minutes.
